Multi-sencor room (SNOEZELEN MSE)at Childrens hospice "Firefly World"from the Czech Development Agency
On April 12, 20018 Ambassador of Czech Republic in Tbilisi H.E. Tomáš Pernický has officially opened a multi-sensor room (SNOEZELEN MSE) at children's hospice "Firefly World"
Snoezelen MSE has a long history of development and is used quite effective in Europe. The goal of the multi sensor room is help to kids reduce agitation and anxiety and also engage and delight, in some cases stimulate reaction and encourage communication. The room is effective for children with various neurological diseases, autism,demnetion.
Before the official opening, 4-day traning was held for hospice staff. Training was provided by Czech certified trainer Renata Filatava. She introduced to attendees about Snozelen Mult-Sensory Environment, theory and practices that can provided in this special environment.
The Project is being implemented by Caritas Czech Republic in Georgia with the financial support of the Czech Development Agency. Its aim is to promote establishment of children's long term and palliative care services in Georgia.
