Doctors visit hospice “Firefly World”
On March 23, Doctors with both passion and compassion from different fields, who do care about our Children, visited Firefly World. Marika Shengelia and Tata Javaxadze- one of the pioneers and founders of the home for parents with palliative Children.Lali Margvelashvili, a geneticist, who has played a great role in fighting against rare genetic disorders. Soso Abesadze and Rema Ghvamichava, the head of Oncology Hospital in Tbilisi-one of the first founders of palliative care and the hospice for adult palliative patients in Georgia. Guram Kiknadze, a person, who has created the laws and regulations for patients’ rights in Georgia.Fati Dzotsenidze-the author of pain management guidelines and Palliative care regulations.And, last but not least, Nino Katsitadze and Maia Uchaneishvili, two outstanding doctors, who have played a great role in developing the home care system and recovery and saving lives of many children in Georgia.
